Regardless of whether you are looking for a gift or you just want to treat yourself before the Christmas season truly comes into play and life gets hectic; none the less I have searched and tracked down the ultimate spa days in the UK. For ease of use (reading) let’s start from North-South :-).
Psst… As usual just click the names of the spa’s themselves to be redirected to the spa websites, I’m am not affiliated with any of these sites or spas.
Loch Fyne, Argyll and Bute Spa – This wonderful spa is tucked away just 2 hours away from Glasgow. They offer budget packages all the way up to the luxurious overnight spa deals so you are bound to find something for you. The most popular package here comes in at £119.00 which includes an hour long treatment, champagne, lunch, complimentary gift & use of the leisure facilities.
The Lake District
Armathwaite Hall Country House and Spa, Keswick – This amazing country hall & spa just screams English elegance, it has everything from sprawling land, little library nooks made of mahogany and a perfect place to dine for afternoon lunch. Prices for spa days start at £75.00, one thing is for sure you won’t be left disappointed; the half day spa session includes a 30 minutes treatment, luxury robes/slippers, toiletries & full use of the spa facilities.
Mottram Hall, Prestbury, Cheshire – Mottram Hall is a place to be desired, it screams relaxation and even better you can gain access to this little slice of heaven for just £20.00. There are many packages available to choose from, my favourite is the cream tea spa day for just £59.00; you 2 treatments to choose from in your package, afternoon tea, use of spa facilities & luxury robes plus you also get an extra 10% off any additional treatments you wish to book – a bargain!
The Belfry, Warwickshire – There’s plenty of deals to choose from at the Belfry, it’s a luxury spa so you can’t go wrong with any one that you choose. You also get plenty for your money too, for just £104.00 there is an array of relaxation and wellbeing that you are treated to such as overnight accommodation with a full English breakfast, choice of treatment, a bottle of prosecco, use of leisure facilities and a luxury robes with slippers for the duration of your stay.
It obviously wouldn’t be a luxury list without Champneys! There’s a selection of spa’s to choose from if you are lucky enough to be in close proximity to another of these spas, personally I love Forrest Mere but there’s a lot more closer to London. I would recommend the exclusive mid week spa break, it comes in a little on the pricey side compared to others on this list but I would say is that any break at Champneys is an experience!
With the exclusive you get an introduction to the resort, overnight accommodation, a three course evening meal, a full English breakfast and a lunch buffet. Not to mention a treatment of your choice, luxury robe and slippers, use of the spa and leisure facilities as well as access to over 20 classes for £220.00!
Bogey Castle, Devon – you find Bovey Castle surrounded by beautiful serene scenery, everything about the castle is timeless and it’s almost as if time stands still as you ease yourself into relaxation. You can grab a spa day here starting from £80.00 which includes a treatment, luxury robes and slippers, use of the facilities as well as a 2 course dinner at the on site brassiere.
Celtic Manor Resort, Newport – this celtic manor is perfectly positioned for both country and city life with Cardiff just next door you can experience both kinds of breaks at once. You can experience a Sunday night roll over here for just £129.00, you will receive overnight accommodation with a full Welsh breakfast, three course evening meal at the Olive Tree, a treatment, use of spa and leisure facilities as well as luxury robes & slippers for your stay.
Let me know if you decide to dive into relaxation with one of these day spas!
